Donner Aquatics Center is located at
22nd and Syacamore St

The pool was named for William H. Donner, a Philadelphia industrialist and native of Columbus, who donated the pool and
Donner Center to the city in 1948. The original construction cost was $400,000. The aquatic center had a major renovation,
including the addition of the leisure pool and concession stand in 1998. A movable floor which permits the depth at the south
end of the main pool to vary from 14" to 5', was installed in 2006.
Donner Aquatic Features:
An 8 lane 50 meter lap pool
A 11'4" diving well with 2 one meter diving boards
A waterslide that is 20' high and 160' long
A leisure pool with a play structure and fountains
And 22,000 square feet of cement deck space surrounding the pools.
In addition to public swimming, Donner offers American Red Cross Learn to swim lessons for all ages from tots to adults,
lap swimming and deep water walking for adults, and YMCA SCUBA diving classes. We also are the outdoor home to the Donner
Swim Club competitive swim program and host several outdoor swim meets each year. The Donner Aquatic Center is available for
private rentals on weekend evenings.
